Brass

A material with a unique character

Copper and its alloys have been firmly anchored in architecture for centuries. In recent years, the material has enjoyed renewed popularity. POHL has already been able to implement a number of brass projects, each of which is an absolute highlight.
The use of different alloys and the combination of finishing and patination create a wide range of design options when working with bronze, brass and copper.

Aging behavior of brass and copper

Over the years, each alloy develops an individual ageing behavior due to weathering. The composition of the alloy, the choice of material and patination and finishing techniques make it possible to achieve the most even ageing possible and a uniform color impression. We can artificially accelerate the ageing process or leave the material untreated, allowing natural oxidation to occur over time. Regardless of the approach chosen, however, each sheet retains its unique character.

Our "Special Finish"

With POHL Bronze, we have created a particularly elegant surface based on brass alloys that meets all requirements in terms of design, coloring and durability.

The color spectrum ranges from reddish to gold to brownish nuances. The appearance is fundamentally influenced by the choice of alloy, polish, patination and sealing.

POHL bronze can be recycled again and again without any loss of quality and has a service life of over 100 years.
