Anodizing is an electrochemical process for refining aluminium, which creates a hard, scratch-resistant and durable surface. In contrast to coatings, this oxide layer is firmly bonded to the metal and offers excellent corrosion protection.
With POHL Duranize, the top layer of the aluminium is anodized, creating an extremely hard, scratch-resistant and resilient surface that is very durable and requires minimal maintenance. In addition to the standard anodized colors, POHL offers the option of developing special anodized finishes to suit individual project and customer requirements. Anodized aluminium is 100% recyclable and makes a valuable contribution to the sustainability of the building.

POHL Duranize Bicolor is an extended technique of POHL Duranize based on the use of two or more anodized layers. By combining different colors, matt or glossy effects and eye-catching patterns and designs, the surface can be customized, giving it an unmistakable and unique appearance.
